Signings -- Vampires/Succubus Blues
Well I went to the signing by Mario Acevdo (X-Rated Bloodsuckers), Jeanne Stein (The Becoming), and Richelle Mead (Succubus Blues) and bought them all. They all sound wonderful.
It was a small gathering, which surprised me -- my mentor was there, as was Ed Bryant and the soon-to-be-published Lynda Hilburn, friends and family were there as well as a couple of critique group members. Both Richelle and Jeanne were on their way to Romantic Times convention next week, and Jeanne was wonderful enough to take my Protector of the Flight wallet calendars with her (now I must notify the others whom I requested to set them out not to worry).
I had a great time talking books and writing (and IRS deductions...), Mario's very charming, Jeanne was fun and Richelle was very interesting. I'm glad to know more about her.
Jeanne's next book is coming out in July and she and I will probably sign together, me with Heart Dance, at the same place.
I gave Mario the regards from Catie Murphy in Ireland (who actually belongs to Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers, she won/placed in our contest a while back).
May the business of writing please you today -- and I will start posting earlier once I finish this housesitting gig.
Take care,
Robin
