Subtlety

My mentor is reading Keepers of the Flame and says it's good, lots of stuff going on etc. I have a couple of plot twists she thinks I should drop less subtle hints about. "Spotlight here" so readers feel smart when they figure them out.

She made the point that in a book this large and complex, I am being too subtle. So that's something I'll look for when I work on the edits.

Today will be a day of cleaning, packing and getting promotion together.
