Give Away by The Reading Cafe

I do this occasionally (when someone asks, then nags).
The Reading Cafe
.

TRC link here:

You do need to be on FB or twitter, to like or tweet. However when I joined/liked The Reading Cafe, they only asked for my website URL, not all my friends or something I felt was extreme.

And...say...if, when I talk to a winner, they want something different than the prize, I tend to do that....

Merry meet and merry part and merry meet again! (It's a very gray day).

Robin Owens, I LOVE your books. Your three series; The Summoning, Celta and Enchanted are favorite rereads of mine. I saw your text and followed the link without noticing the social networking requirement. Nobody's fault but my own. Hopefully this email will make it to you regardless to my lack of status in the 'virtual' world, and proud of that by the way.

I have no intention of joining any of the narcissistic 'clubs' whether Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or whatever new one has appeared since I began ignoring all of them. I don't believe the world needs to know that I woke up and saw a butterfly perched on one of flowers and I REALLY have no interest in the majority of the tripe which passes through most of the member's lips...I guess that would be fingertips though, huh?

I would just like to request that you publish ALL of your work in audio editions, preferably through audible.com as I really have a BIG thing against Apple. It has everything to do with Jobs and his attempt at price fixing e-editions to push his ipad out in front of kindle, but I digress. When I first learned of it, I tracked down all of your Summoning series and paid a small fortune to obtain them (and didn't I feel like an idiot when they were reprinted. But I still believe they were worth every nickel. When I wrote to you in search of the titles in that series, you so kindly turned me on to the Celta books.

I own all of your work in dead tree and e-editions so the only thing missing are the audio editions. I thought cleaning was a chore when I was young. Now that I'm old, I know it is a PAIN INDUCING chore but one which would be better tolerated listening to your books as I work. If I could afford a housekeeper for the drudgery, I would let her listen to the books to help ease her through the onerous tasks. :-) See even though on the outside I am an ornery old recluse inside, where my heart (comprised of all my favorites novels) lives, I really am a sweetie. :-D

Thank you for sharing your talent with the world. I look forward to each of your new books and, even though at my age it is not wise to wish away time, I can't wait for April to arrive with Ghost Seer. Happy reading.

I would like to be entered in the current contest/giveaway but if I am not eligible due to my feelings about social media sites, I totally understand.

Dear Muhsketchy,

Thanks for your comment. I had the rights to the Heart/Celta books and those will be done by audible. I don't have the audio rights for my other series, so I have no say as to whether they will be given to audible, very likely not.

As for paper books, my local bookstore always carries a good supply (and usually slightly discounted): Broadway Book Mall, and/or Who Else Books, Denver, Colorado.
